The Role

As an Oakley Apparel Account Manager, you are responsible for the delivery of targeted sales for the Oakley Apparel category for the Nordics territory.
The Oakley AFA category includes Apparel, Footwear and Accessories in several different segments such as Snow, Bike, Golf among others.

The successful candidate will have number of core accountabilities in the role, including:

  • the achievement of sales objectives - delivering individual targeted sales volumes, values, return rates, and brand distribution and penetration objectives by effectively identifying and meeting customer needs;
  • driving customer recommendation - ensuring effective brand, product, and visual merchandising training for your customers' sales and staff to ensure that our customers not only buy our products, but actively recommend them;
  • acting as an ambassador - you will foster strong business-to-business relationships between Luxottica and our customers, demonstrating and supporting company strategies, policies, and key messages;
  • effective territory coverage - you will ensure frequency of visits and a consistent level of service for all customers in accordance with company guidelines; and
  • identifying portfolio opportunities - ensuring that all customers' needs are identified and effectively met by a Luxottica brand, sharing opportunities with your Manager and the Sport Business Development Manager.
  • fully manage the AFA category in the Nordic market including sample / showroom management, customer bookings and meetings, forecast management and market / product feedback to relevant corporate teams

The Candidate

To apply for and be successful in this role, the candidate must:

  • have strong interpersonal and communications skills;
  • have strong Apple iPad and PC skills including competent use of the Microsoft Office;
  • preferably have an understanding of the Nordic Sports Industry;
  • have a full, clean driving licence (essential);
  • have demonstrable customer service and selling experience, ideally in a field sales environment as well as KA;
  • ideally, have experience of the Sport industry and Apparel, Footwear and Acc industry;
  • preferably, have a bachelor's degree.

  • being an active team member - creating internal and external business partnerships, showing a willingness to share ideas and actively supporting other members of the team and other company functions.

Hours and Environment

The normal working hours will be full time, Monday to Friday. However, you may need to work longer when necessary. The role is predominantly field based; 70% of your time will be spent visiting customers. You may occasionally need to attend conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions. Depending on the size of area you cover, your job will involve overnight stays away from home. Exceptional time out of the field for preparatory purposes will require the prior written consent of a direct line manager.

The physical nature of the role requires frequent and sometimes prolonged driving of a car, walking and standing during store or customer visits, lifting boxes and sample cases to and from customer locations, and preparing or packing merchandise or sales materials. The employee may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach above shoulder height or below waste height during the course of their day to day work. Proper lifting techniques are required.
